Optional Thoughts

Did you know, that all thoughts are optional? I realized recently that my mind likes to try to tell me a lot of things as if they are facts. 

Take for instance, this morning as I was standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom looking at myself… My mind said to me “you look tired,”  however I got 10 hours of sleep, and when I questioned this thought and looked at myself with unbiased objectivity…my face actually looked like I was well-rested. My eyes were clear and bright, my complexion looked good and by all appearances I appeared to be well rested. 

However, my mind was broadcasting this thought that “you look tired”  as if it was the news or very factual. 

How many of you have ever had a thought that seemed factual but when you questioned it you realize that it was really just the opinion of your mind and not really a fact?

All thoughts are optional. We can literally choose what to think and how to feel about everything.

Today my brain told me: “you look tired”

Today I told my brain: “I feel so rested and I’m ready for the day!”

All thoughts are optional!
