Quality over Quantity

Recently my husband and I downsized from a very large home to a very small home.

I was amazed at how much stuff we had collected over the seven years that we lived in that house.

As we begin the moving process, I decided that I was going to choose quality over quantity.

I’m almost ashamed to admit but over the course of 15 days we got rid of a quantity of over 5,000 lb of stuff. 3/4 of my clothing was donated to various charities. Half of my kitchen Stuff is now the proud property of numerous friends and soup kitchens.

Everything that I kept is high-quality, joy bringing and absolutely necessary.

My husband and I made a pact that any purchases that we do in the future will only be high quality, bring joy, and actively contribute to our more minimalist lifestyle.

For 2020 I am putting all of my focus on the quality of everything around me in my life, those things that no longer serve me, no longer have a place in my life.

Quality over quantity can be applied to almost every single area of our lives. I have unsubscribed to almost everything but I was previously up subscribe to emails, groups, magazines, papers, mailings, etc.

What areas might you be able to redefine the difference between quality and quantity?

Let’s continue this conversation together and see how we can make 2020 a year of Quality over Quantity!

Come and join me on my Facebook page let’s figure out what true quality is together!
